As we head into another very difficult budget year where the Governor is already threatning to cut school funding in 2009, We all need to work together to prevent the Districts from balancing their budgets on the backs of Classified Employees. In the next few months we will all have to take action to protect our jobs. This means we must act in the true spirit of unionism and join our brothers and sisters as they take action in their chapters.
One very important event you can participate in will be December 8th 2008 at the Capistrano Unified School District Board meeting (33122 Valle Road, San Juan Capistrano CA 92675). Chapter 224 has planned a rally to tell the BOT we will not stand for anymore cuts to Classified. The following is an excerpt from an article written by Ronda Walen CSEA Chapter 224 President It is anticipated that the Capistrano Unified SchoolBoard (CSEA Ch. 224) will vote on final budget revisions on December 8 at the regular meeting 6:00pm.
Please join your brothers and sisters for a BBQ hot Dog dinner (5:30) and rally to help protect jobs. For more information contact Kenny Wilson CSEA Organizer This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it 714-532-7135 |
